As a 10 year veteran of the US Army Military Police Corps., Ernie knows first hand the process of PSC’ing to and from a new duty station. Nellis Air Force Base is the current home of the 57th Wing, 57th Adversary Tactics Group, The Thunderbirds Squadron, The Weapons and Rescue School, The Maintenance/Munitions Officers School, Nevada Test and Training Range, 53d Test and Evaluation Group, 505th Operations Group, 926th Group Air Force Reserve, Air Expenditionary Force Battlelab, and the Joint Unmanned Aircraft System. Nellis has more squadrons assigned than any other United States Air Force Base.

Nellis and Creech have many relocation services to help Personnel transferring. You will be assigned a Sponsor who will help guide you through each step of the process. Other services include Lodging Office, The Housing Management, Military Personnel Customer Service Center, Financial Services Office and Transportation office.
In 1941, Nellis was established as the Las Vegas Army Air Field then later became known as Nellis Air Force Base. Named after Pilot William Harrell Nellis Killed in Action over Luxembourg in 1944. Nellis Air Force Base is located in the North East corner of the Las Vegas Valley covering over 11,000 square feet. All Housing on and off base are zoned for the Clark County School District or local private schools.
